Capricorn
Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is the most earthly of the earth signs. They are realists per se and always anxious to cope with life by their own efforts, which they are almost always very successful in doing. For they know the rewards of industriousness and endurance. And like their animal representative they are very sure-footed beings who seldom make wrong decisions or get into sticky situations. Although they are serious beings, they have a big heart and always demonstrate enough sensitivity and generosity when helping others. After all, they know life’s pitfalls because they have always placed their steps deliberately themselves– without the help of others. It becomes obvious from this that they try to avoid dependences, especially in their professional lives. If they cannot find a management position they will at least try to become professionally autonomous. And here they will be most successful, because they really flourish as lone warriors.
Even if the Capricornian makes a highly reserved and sometimes even uncertain impression on others, they are sensitive and affectionate as partners and equally capable of glowing passion. Not light-headed but emotional and intellectual– and that makes them reliable and faithful companions.
if Capricornians pursue their goals all too ambitiously and strictly and lose their cheerfulness and spontaneity in the process they tend to ossify in the true sense of the word, because the skeleton and bones are their assigned “organs”.
Their stone is sapphire, the stone of directness. It was regarded as the stone of Saturn in ancient European and Indian cultures. Lead is also saturnian, a metal which is attributed protective properties and which is used for prophecies.
